IMC & OGR: DHARMA OF NATURE RETREAT

MEDITATION - SILENT - DANA - TRADITION: VIPASSANA

Off-Grid Retreats is thrilled to offer this retreat in partnership with Insight Meditation Center. As with all IMC retreats, the retreat is offered freely, as gifts to those who attend—there is no cost. Donations by those who attend make it possible to pass this gift forward to others who attend retreats.

Join Insight teachers Dawn Neal and Marjolein Janssen in exploring the interconnection between the Dharma and the natural world, cultivating wisdom and inviting greater freedom. Experience deepening meditation sessions supported by sensory immersion in nature. And engage in optional movement and / or walking meditation.

This retreat will reside at Shelterwood Collective, a Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ-led community forest and retreat center. A regular meditation practice is recommended to get the most out of this experience. We welcome all backgrounds, traditions, and all levels of experience with camping and outdoor practice.

DEEPENING PRESENCE IN NATURE RETREAT

DEEPENING PRESENCE IN NATURE RETREAT

Off-Grid Retreats and Retreat Teacher Kirsten Rudestam are teaming up again to offer Deepening Presence in Nature, a nature-centered mindfulness weekend retreat.

This retreat will take place at Shelterwood Collective, a Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ-led community forest and retreat center, healing people and ecosystems through active stewardship and community engagement. In the summer of 2021, Shelterwood became the official stewards of a 900-acre forest and former church camp right above the Russian River in Sonoma County, California, on Unceded Kashaya and Southern Pomo territory. There are miles of hiking trails and a couple of streams that run through.

In this three-day meditation retreat we draw from Buddhist teachings, becoming more intimate with nature in our own minds while deepening our relations with nature in the more-than-human world. In so doing, we experience the mutuality of these ways in deepening our relationship with all of life.
